Again I wonder about the story being set (and written) during rationing
of food, specifically candy and dessert... which, however, would remove
one major cause of nightmares...

In the book, Jadis visits Victorian(?) London, but I think she is
escorted out of our world before she starts turning people into stone,
etc. But what if she had stayed here, conquered our world, made it her
power base and then proceeded to invade and conquer other worlds?

Thus the reference to Stirling's Draka, although I don't seem to have
fully understood who or what the Draka are, beyond that they're fairly
unpleasant and South African.

Conversely if Jadis /had/ escaped at the end of LWW and gone to join
the Nazis, well, again the outcome might be different in /our/ world.
Having said that, I'm led to believe that Nazis would need some
slapping around before they accepted a woman in a position of power,
but no doubt some /modus vivendi/ could have been arrived at.

IIRC, she didn't have any magical powers on Earth, apart from her
inhuman strength. What she had before were apparently somehow bound
with her home world, Charn, and what she gained in Narnia may be
because of the apple she stole and ate (it made her immortal, I think).

When your magic technology doesn't work in Star Trek, you modulate the
field harmonics and it's fixed. I expect that if she had to stay,
she'd work something out, like Mr. Spock did in "The City on the Edge
of Forever".

She did have access to rings, more or less. You could do a lot with
that. And we see later on that Earth-humans kick ass in Narnia. So if
she raises an army...

She never had physical posession of any rings.

Jadis' magical powers didn't work in this world. Hence she had to break a
piece of a lampost to hit a policeman, IIRC.

She was a woman of considerable ability, and might have been a force for
evil - but more likely she would have been just locked up. Absent magic
there wasn't that much she could do.

Magic was possible on Earth, though-- Uncle Andrew had, after all,
managed a little, and was evidently working from magical knowledge
he'd successfully researched. She seemed to know a lot more about
the theory than he did, even if her spells at the time were Charn-
specific. It might be that given sufficient preparation and
research, Jadis could have redeveloped her powers the way she
seemed to manage in Narnia. (Though it also might be impossible
without a power source like the apple she ate there.)

Assuming that her wand would work on Earth (her dusting magic didn't!).

The Draka are an alternate universe South African colony that got taken over by
Britain in the 18th century and used as a haven for British Loyalists (after the
American Revolution) and Confederates (after the Civl War). The colony grew like
topsy and took over the world.

In addition to what already has been said: Why would Jadis /join/
Nazis? She wouldn't want /a/ position of power, but /the/ position of
power. And this means, basically, killing Hitler and other top
leadership in this case. I suspect Nazis would take dim view of that.
